Don’t Just Take Their Word for It... There is power in hearing the Word preached—but there is even greater power when we go deeper for ourselves.
There is power in hearing the Word preached—but there is even greater power when we go deeper for ourselves.
As daughters of the King, we must not settle for second-hand revelation. Don’t be a Christian who lives solely on the words of others. Yes, God speaks through pastors, teachers, and leaders—but He also wants to speak directly to you through His Word.
The Bible urges us to grow, not just to listen:
“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”
– 1 Peter 2:2 (NIV)
When a sermon stirs your heart, don’t let it stop there. Go home, open the Scriptures, and read it for yourself. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you, to give you understanding beyond what was preached.
“Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”
– Acts 17:11 (NIV)
Like the Bereans, we’re called to be active learners—testing, searching, discovering truth firsthand. We are invited into a relationship where God Himself reveals truth to our hearts.
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
– Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)
So don’t just take their word for it. Take His Word, and let it live in you. Let it take root. Build your life on it. There’s so much more waiting for you beyond the sermon.
Let’s be women who grow strong in the Word—anchored, discerning, and full of revelation.
Stay Blessed, P. 🌹
Powerful.
